With $6 billion likely to be spent in the US this year on the race for the White House, the issue of campaign finance will remain in the headlines for much of 2012 in the United States. Though the sums tend to be smaller in other countries, funding elections raises many concerns around the world.
Experts from Transparency International’s chapter network from the United Kingdom, India and Russia told CNN.com about key concerns in their countries. Should there be more public funding in the UK to keep the playing field level? Do companies in India stick to the legal limits for campaign donations? Do politicians in Russia unfairly benefit from their public office on the campaign trail?

I feel that whether you are an individual, corporation, small business, or super PAC the threshold limits on financing or contributing to any campaign per individual or corporation should be minimum $1 and maximum $1,000,000,000. These amounts can be itemized, traced, tracked, and easily accounted.
This would make individuals running for political office agressively campaign with more fudiciary integrity. The money should be able to come from inside state/country limits or out-of-state/country limits.
This would greatly assist taxpayers,state and federal government to monitor spending and political power of individuals voted in public office.
