Today Transparency International published recommendations for building transparency at FIFA.
These are based on years of experience working with organisations in government and the private sector to control corruption.
FIFA is a special case though. That is why we are proposing the creation of an independent oversight multi-stakeholder group to oversee investigations of corruption allegations and anti-corruption reforms.
As you can see in our old blogs we have been calling on FIFA to change for a while. Today we are putting that call in concrete terms, so that it is clear what a commitment to transparency really means. We hope this gives other people with a stake in good football governance something to get behind.
