On December 9, our movement and activists around the world came together to celebrate International Anti-Corruption Day. In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, our chapter organised a public walk against corruption.
The walk was a peaceful, non political event aimed at affirming public support in fighting corruption across all sectors of society. Approximately 230 people participated in the walk which covered a distance of 2.5km around Perdana Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur. Participants also signed personalised messages on a canvas expressing their wishes and hopes in the fight against corruption.
The event was organised in collaboration with NKRA Against Corruption, a federal agency which monitors and coordinates the government’s anti corruption initiatives.
